The Second Edition of Kaduna International Film Festival which opens today in Kaduna is promised to be a Classic package of entertainment and enlightenment.
Founder and Convener of the KADIFF , Mr Israel Audumade the assertion at media briefing to flagg off commencement of Second Edition of the film fiesta in Kaduna.
Mr Audu said film festivals had been in existence in other parts of the world, but Nigerians were yet to embrace it fully.
According to him, the 2nd edition of the festival will commence on August 20, 2019 at AfriNet Cinema, Unguwan Maijero in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
Audu disclosed that the festival was initiated out of zeal and passion for entertainment.
He promised that this year’s edition would be five days of fun and captivating moment from master classes, film screenings, panel discussions, exhibition, tourism, among others.
Speaking on the theme; “The Impact of Entertainment On Youth and the Girl Child In the Society”, Audu said it was very unpleasant how some youth today engage in crimes and criminal related activities such as drugs and cybercrimes.
He added that the way out “is to educate the girl child, because when you educate the girl child, you are educating the society because they are the pillars and bedrock of every household.
“Therefore, their welfare and education should be paramount,” he said.
