Yakubu Dogara former Speaker of House of Representatives and his predecessor, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal who have distinguished and dedicated themselves in ensuring the Independence of the legislature and enriching Nigeria’s Democracy have been recognized and honoured by the Achievers University, Owo as Chancellor and Recipient of Honorary Doctorate Degree of the university respectively.
Your doggedness and commitments to the principles of Rule Of Law and Independence of the Legislature and Judiciary while you were Speakers have not gone unnoticed by lovers and defenders of our Democracy.
Your unequalled achievements in public and private enterprises and your commitments and service to fatherland and Humanity in general are worthy of emulation by good people of Nigeria and the Academia in particular who have seen the need to bestow on you the rare privilege of becoming the second Chancellor and Recipient of Honorary Doctorate Degree of Achievers University, Owo respectively.
Well meaning laws that had direct impacts on lives of Nigerians have been made. The educational sector in particular had been given topmost priority by the House under your leadership.
It is therefore, not surprising when the Achievers University Owo, decided to acknowledge these rare feats of yours in public service.
It is time to roll out the drums in honour of these two gentlemen as they are recognized by the Ivory Tower on the 8th of November, 2019 at the Convention Ground of the Achievers University, Owo.
