In an effort to boost the economy sector, Financial Inclusion Committed (FISCO) and the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) Kano State Branch has constituted a stakeholder advisory committee to come up with strategies on how to expand and open more accounts with banks to meet with the 2020 vision target.
The Financial Inclusion Committee(FISCO), under the chairmanship of the controller of CBN, Kano State branch, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ali Aliyu approved the 2nd agency Banking Fair, 2019 under the supervision and coordination of Bizi mobile cashless Consultant limited which before now has been saddled with the responsibility of organizing the fair.
The chairman of FISCO Alh. Ali Aliyu disclosed the approval at a meeting attended by stakeholders, which include, the CBN, Representative of Kano State Government, commercial banks, AMMON, the executive chairman of Bello Kano company, market unions, captains of industries, traditional rulers, representatives of banking sectors from Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and representatives of the media within and outside Kano.
Earlier, the FISCO committee chairman had invited the chairman of Bizi mobile cashless consultant limited, Alh Aminu Bizi to intimate the committee on preparations and plans for the fair which the committee expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness of the event proposed for 1st July to 7th July 2019.
The committee and CBN called on commercial banks, companies, traders, captain of industries and neighboring states of Kano to participate in the fair, as well as pledged to open accounts and BVN for interested participants by banks at the spot.
The committee said the second edition of the fair slated to commence by 1st july to 7th july 2019 will hold at the Sani Abacha indoor, conference hall, Kano by 8am to 6pm daily. The committee also invited Nigerian film actors and actresses, such as, Ali Nuhu, Adam Zango, Sadik Sani Sadik, Rahma Sadau, Hadiza Gabon, Umar M Sharif, Maryam Yahaya among others to entertain the invited guests at the fair.
