Information reaching our news room has indicted the clerk of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Bello Zubairu for conniving with the Secretary of Kaduna APC, Mohammed Bello Shuaibu (Amir) not to swear in Hon. Yusuf Salihu of Kaduna North and Hon. Nasiru Usman of Kaduna South.
According to a source who sought anonymity alleged that already a letter has been written to the clerk by the secretary instructing him not to obey the Federal High court order.
In a document made available to our news room shows that Independent National Electoral Commission had already submitted a list that contains 34 names of members elect in Kaduna State to the clerk of the House.
However, Yusuf Salihu with code number sc/456/KD and Nasiru Usman with code number sc/467/KD occupied 15th and 17th positions respectively in the list submitted to the clerk by INEC.
It would be recalled that the duo reclaimed their mandates through court judgements of the Federal High Court, declaring them validly nominated candidates for their respective constituencies having won their respective primaries.
Based on the court verdict, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had issued them certificate of return accordingly.
It was gathered that the counsel to the duo, A. Bashar ESQ (Habeeb and Company) has written the clerk to adhere to the rule of law, justice and fairness.
Parts of the letter obtained by A-Z News Times reads: ” that our attention has been drawn to the perfected plans by certain external forces to prevent you from swearing in and or admitting our clients into the the Kaduna State House of Assembly as members representing their respective constituencies without any legal and moral justification whatsoever.
In his reaction to the allegation, the Kaduna State House of Assembly Clerk, Bello Zubairu in a phone conversation denied the allegation, saying that he is not aware of such.
