Local Government Chairmen in Kaduna state has been urged to judiciously use fund allocated to them for the common good of the citizens of the state.
The Hon. Commissioner, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, gave the charge in Kaduna, that the ministry will not hesitate to carryout monitoring activities to ensure that what is meant for the people at the grassroot is duly given to them.
Mamman while charging the council chairmen, during the technical session of Kaduna State Local Government Joint Account Allocation Committee Meeting for the month of July, 2023 at the Conference Hall of the Ministry, said the ministry remains committed towards delivering the dividends of democracy to the good people of Kaduna state in line with the vision of the state governor, Senator Uba Sani.
He added that the state Governor has pledged total commitment to carry out a people-oriented democracy with a focus on peace and prosperity of the state and therefore all hands must be on deck to achieve the goal without any form of failure.
The Commissioner expressed that the APC government in Kaduna state is indebted to traditional, community and religious leaders who fostered an atmosphere of peace while appreciating the efforts of APC leaders at all levels for their tireless efforts and commitment.
He said, “the ministry will be monitoring the activities as fund made for the people should be used judiciously for those it is meant for.
“I also advised you to make sure that you delivered in your various LGAs and bring dividend of democracy to the people because that was the campaign promises made by governor Uba Sani and therefore we must work tirelessly to support the government so we can succeed together.” He said.
