…vows to do more for less privileged
In view of his humanitarian and philanthropic gestures, The Guild of Online Journalists has presented an Award of Excellence to the PD/CEO Friendack Construction Nigeria Ltd, (FDC Limited) Engineer Dackson A. Aboki
The colourful presentation was held at Engineer Aboki’s office in Kaduna on Thursday, where national executives of the guild, led by the Vice President, Comrade Ibrahim Danfulani converted on.
In his remarks, Comrade Danfulani said that he was nominated for the award alongside three other philanthropists, but secured the highest votes at their last meeting, hence his choice.
“Every year we give awards to those who have distinguished themselves in various endeavours.
” We were told, and subsequently investigated and found it to be true that you have touched so many lives and have been able to positively impact on several less privileged in the society.
“The award is not meant to make you relax, but to spur you on to do more.
“We appreciate your efforts in several interventions. As a media group with only core professionals as members, this is our own way of telling you that people watch what you do, hence urging you to keep up the good works,” he said.
In his response, the CEO Friendack Construction Nigeria Ltd, (FDC) Engineer Dackson A. Aboki expressed deep gratitude to the guild for the honour.
“I sincerely thank you very much from the depth of my heart. I have an experience in journalism and would urge that whatever you are pursuing, pursue it very well.
“We run a construction firm and we ensure that whatever we are doing, puts food on the table of families,” he added.
He promised to keep doing the little within his resources to impact positively on the lives of the less privileged.
