Ensure Service Delivery, Good Governance, Niger SSG Urges Commissioners, Political Appointees

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has charged Commissioners and Political Appointees in the State to make their Offices a model for service delivery, good governance and efficiency.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Information Officer, SSG’s Office, Lawal Tanko.
The SSG gave the charge while fielding questions from Newsmen at a 3-day Executive Leadership Retreat on Administrative Relationship, Strategic Communication and Management of Public Finance for Economic Development holding at Fifth Chukker Polo Country Club, Jos Road, Kaduna.
Ahmed Matane explained that the retreat which is organized by the State Government is aimed at strengthening and grooming the Council members and Political Appointees of Government with the requisite knowledge and traits that will assist the administration to achieve the set objectives of providing good governance to the citizenry.
He stressed that the retreat will no doubt reshape the business of governance as Government has already hit the ground running to deliver programme and policies of the present administration.
The SSG pointed out that the retreat which is holding in Kaduna will provide a veritable platform for the Participants to brainstorm and exchange ideas on government’s policy direction, blueprint and programmes with a view to ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.
Ahmed Matane said the retreat with the theme; Administrative relationship, strategic communication and management of public finance for economic delivery was designed to get all Commissioners and Political Appointees to buy into the restoration agenda of the present administration.
He disclosed that the choice of Kaduna is to provide a serene environment where participants can be more focused to deal with topical issues devoid of any distractions.
Ahmed Matane presented two papers to the Participants on Understanding Leadership and Team Building for Effective Delivery and Improved Performance and How do you Market Niger State as Commissioners and other critical stakeholders.
