A member representing Kaduna North in the House of Representatives, Hon. Samaila Suleiman has called on Muslim faithfuls to strive to emulate the virtuous, life of total obedience, love, justice and self-sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim in the season of Sallah.
He made the call to his constituents and politicians alike in a sallah message marking this year’s Eid-el-adha, stressing the need to show love for one another during and after the celebration.
He went further to say that as a member representing the good people of Kaduna North at the green chamber, he has touched the lives of his people in different ways by taking their welfare as a priority in Politics and representation as his ideology of politics is about bringing succour to the people irrespective of their religion, tribe or social status.
“I am using this medium to call on political office holders to see the need to provide dividends of democracy in the area of welfare to the people as it is a must that it should be felt by the downtrodden.
Both Islam and Politics is about bringing succour to the people, as leaders we must uphold the teaching of the Holy book by putting smiles on the faces of the masses”, Rep Suleiman stated.
“I urge us to continue to exhibit the spirit of sacrifice in our daily activities and in the task of lifting our country out of its current difficulties.
“I assure my constituents, the good people of Kaduna North of my total commitment to their welfare and development, ” he said.
He maintained that the observance of such virtues will take Kaduna North and the State to the Promised Land , adding that Eid-el-Kabir should be an opportunity to redouble our efforts on unity and justice.
He congratulated the good people of Kaduna North and the State in general for yet another Eid-el-Kabir celebration, calling on traders not to hike prices of food stuffs and other animals that will be used for the celebration.
