The Dambe Warriors League (DWL) made history on September 15th, as SuperFight 03 took over the Velodrome in Abuja, Nigeria. The sold-out event, attended by thousands of fans, including tourists and local residents, showcased Nigeria’s traditional martial art and cultural heritage.
Six fighters earned promotion into the DWL for next season, while three warriors were crowned champions of Season 03. The event was endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy and the Federal Ministry of Tourism.
Co-Founder Chidi Aninya expressed pride in the event, stating, “We started this League to unite Nigeria around our traditions, arts, and culture. We’re driving tourism and commerce, and we’re proud of SuperFight 03, which honored our 1,000-year-old heritage.”
The event featured thrilling fights, including the Lightweight championship bout, where Yar Mage emerged victorious, and the Heavyweight title fight, where Yansanda defeated Ali Kanin Bello.
