Kaduna State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, has received the Country Director, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) under the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Nigeria, Jane Bevan, in Kaduna State.
The delegation was ably led by the Director General of the Kaduna State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (KADRUWASSA), Mubarak Shehu Ladan, who said they are on a Courtesy and Advocacy Visit to the Ministry.
Ladan said the concept of WASH group is to have access to drinking water services, sanitation, and hygiene because the impact of deficiencies in each area overlaps strongly in the society.
Addressing the delegates at the conference hall of the ministry, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kaduna State, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, said the ministry inline with the state’s government policies is ready to partner with developmental organizations towards ensuring that development thrives in every sector in the state.
Hon. Sadiq said the visit was apt, while noting that sustainable growth development can be achieved together through partnership with organizations such as WASH, against independent leadership.
Other delegates from WASH during the visit includes the organization’s specialist and WASH Officer, Theresa Pamma and David Damian at the conference hall of the Ministry.
The meeting was also attended by principal officers like the Hon. Chairman of Kudan Local Government and ALGON Chairman Kaduna State, Shuaibu Bawa Jaja, Director of Admin and Finance ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Asmau Jaafar Sambo.
