Newly elected Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government Rayyan Hussain has vowed to end polio and tackle other health challenges at the grassroots level.
He made the vow while flagging off polio eradication campaign for the month of November.
The flag off ceremony marked by administering of vaccines to children was conducted by the council boss at Amina Namadi Sambo Comprehensive Health Facility, Kinkinau in Kaduna South Local Government Area.
Hussain reiterated resolve and commitment to prioritize primary health of citizens in line with SUSTAIN Agenda of the Governor Uba Sani administration which he stated had upgraded primary, secondary and tertiary health facilities across the state.
The Council Boss was flanked by his wife Hajiya Salma Abu Rayyan and other Council officials.
Hussain who was sworn in and took oath of office over the weekend enjoined parents and guardians to make their children and wards available for the exercise, saying it was the only way to kick polio out of the community.
