Suspended Kaduna State Women leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hajiya Maryam Suleiman, popularly called Mairusau has been readmitted into the fold of the ruling party in the state after a year-long suspension.
Announcing her reabsorption into the ruling party in a joint press briefing, ward and local government chairmen of APC Aliyu Abdullahi and Suleiman Wada respectively expressed joy as party members and supporters received Mairusau in Kaduna North party office amidst applause and cheers.
They described the development as positive and a big plus to the party in the run-up to next general election in 2027.
The Ward Chairman stressed the need for unity amongst party members, saying a divided house cannot stand the test of time, which he said prompted the governor in his wisdom to forgive Hajiya Suleiman for the interest of the party.
He also attributed the development to the magnanimous and forgiving nature of Governor Uba Sani whom he stated found it forgivable in his heart, despite the magnitude of offence committed against him by Hajiya Maryam Suleiman.
In her response, the Women leader, while paying tribute to Governor Uba Sani whom she described as a father figure to all party loyalists and a compassionate leader to all Kaduna people, irrespective of religious, ethnic or party affiliate.
She declared an unalloyed loyalty to the Governor, pledging to mobilize support for the party and ensure citizens, especially women embrace the APC wholeheartedly.
Mairusau expressed satisfaction over the performance of Governor Sani since assumption of duty in May 2023, saying all critics had been silent by the excellent performance of the number one citizen of Kaduna State whom she said had virtually touched every sphere of people’s lives in many positive ways.
