A Non Governmental Organization (NGO), known as Voter Education Initiative (VEI) has urged Nigerians to participate in electing credible Leaders in the forthcoming elections.
The Team Leader of the group, Barrister Chris Nnoli made it known during their routine General meeting in Kaduna.
Barrister Chris Nnoli who explained that voting was a constitutional responsibility, stressed the need for Nigerians to always put the interest of the country at heart before casting their votes.
According to him, the Voter Education Initiative is making every effort to ensure mass sensitization of voters in all nooks and crannies in Kaduna and the country at large.
Barr. Nnoli also made it known that the group would play their part in ensuring voters understand how to vote, and what not to do during the forthcoming election aimed at improving electioneering processes in the country.
“Nigeria would only grow economically and otherwise when the right leaders were elected and we are assuring Nigerians that their votes will count hence the need to be fully involved”, he stated.
He charged those that registered and yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card to do so, explaining that collection of voter’s cards and turnouts to vote on election day were crucial in determining the outcomes of elections.
