Agriculture Minister Commissions Mini Water Treatment Plant in Kaduna

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Sabo Nanono has commissioned and handed over a Mini Water Treatment plant in Kudan Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to him, the administration of President Muhammad Buhari doesn’t only believed in Nigerian farmers but also interested in their welfare.
He added that, “this is the reason why the ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development facilitated this project to supply the communities with clean and portable water for their domestic use regularly to ensure good lives for rural dwellers that will give them good health and enabling environment to produce crops, animals, fish and spices for food security, domestic and International market.
The Minister who was represented by Engr. Olusegun Owolabi, called on the state government, district heads and the location government council to team up and take the ownership and responsibilities of the water plant from today, which includes security of the property, maintenance and proper handling for the masses to sustainably enjoy the deviden of the present administration.
“This government is fully committed to this noble task by committing huge amount of funds and enabling environment for private participation and collaboration with states government and donor funding agencies.
“I will like to state that the ministry has initiated and completed many other projects in kaduna state in recent years, such as four kilometers asphaltic road at ungwan waggai to Doka Secondary School road, provision of 35 units of 60 watts in 2 communities in Igabi local government area and many others in the state” he stated.
He Commended governor Nasir El-Rufai for his good work currently going on in the state and urged him to sustain the tempo.
Speaking on behalf of the location government council, the Vice Chairman, Ado Turaki thank the Minister for such a gigantic project in their area, that it will improve the economy status of the community and it will also help in job creation.
He also plead with the minister to come to their aids as they are in need of dams which have been neglected for a very long time as it will increase productivity in the area.
