Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu stormed Kaduna State on Tuesday December 13, in continuation of nationwide campaign to be elected next President of Nigeria.
Tinubu was accompanied by his running mate, Kashim Shettima, governors of North West States, including the host, Nasiru El-Rufai and other party chieftains in the campaign rally hosted in Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
The Presidential hopeful harped on creating jobs for teeming youth whom he described as bedrocks of growth and development of the nation’s economy.
He said Northern Nigeria was blessed with vast arable land suitable for both rainy and dry season cultivation, adding that all the region needed was a determined leader to invest and create enabling environment for farmers to sell their products and make good money as value for the country’s economy.
He promised to establish agric products board which he stated would be saddled with responsibilities of sourcing and exporting farmers’ produce.
He pledged to tackle insecurity headlong if elected as number one citizen of the country next year so that other critical sectors of the economy could pick up in earnest in order to attract foreign investors and ensure peace and harmony for all citizens.
He paid homage to El-Rufai, describing the Kaduna State governor as an energetic and vibrant individual with zeal and passion to develop his State and provide opportunities for youth and women to prosper.
He urged Kaduna voters to elect Uba Sani as next governor of the state, saying the serving senator would continue the legacy of taking the capital of the defunct Northern Region higher.
He also called on electorate to get their permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ready, saying their power to hire and fire elected public officers lied in the power of PVCs.
Earlier, the APC presidential flag bearer, commissioned a campaign office donated by a support group for North West Zone in the heart of the state capital.
