People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Kaduna Central Senatorial Candidate Hon. Usman Ibrahim known as Sardaunan Badarawa was received by crowd of supporters in Igabi, Chikun and Kajuru in continuation of campaign tours in quest to be elected into the Red Champer in 2023 general election.
Sardaunan Badarawa was accompanied in the tour of the three local governments by his campaign team, party chieftains and volunteers amidst cheering and chanting of solidarity and support songs.
In Igabi, Hon. Ibrahim was received by a mammoth crowd who turned out in their numbers to catch a glimpse of the politician whom they noted for touching their lives in so many positive ways.
While assuring the Senatorial hopeful of their supports, the people of Igabi, particularly PDP’s family in the local government pledged to mobilize human and material resources for the success of the candidate at the poll.
The people of Igabi decried rising insecurity, emboldened by activities of bandits, asking the Senatorial flag bearer to make the problem first item of his agenda at the Upper House of the National Assembly.
Sardaunan Badarawa while assuring Igabi constituent of legislative attention if elected, disclosed an effort in the pipeline in collaboration with a security firm specialized in using cutting edge technology to combat non-conventional warfare.
In Chikun, Sardaunan Badarawa in his address harped on restoration of value and dignity of the electorate whom he stated had been taken for granted by the present adminstration in the state.
He said Chikun had always been a home of the party since the return of democracy in 1999, adding that PDP had never lost an election in the local government, assuring voters of a better deal if elected.
“We will concentrate our efforts on things that matter most to you and your families so that you won’t have an atom of regret over your support for my candidature.
“Education, health, youth and women empowerment will top our priorities as soon as we get elected and sworn in because these basic necessities if prioritized would stimulate growth and development within the community at grassroots level.
“I have observed a complete absence of road infrastructure here with dilapidated and potholes-ridden roads all over which shows that the present administration in the state has abandoned the people of Chikun, an important crossroad linking the heart of the city and other zones with southern part of the state.
“We will ensure a complete reversal of this ugly trend where some sections are chosen for development over others, “he assured.
In Kajuru, a section of the state with her shares of incidence of banditry and other forms of insecurity, the PDP Kaduna central candidate assured the people that the problem would be tackled head-on.
While at the palace of the traditional ruler of Kajuru, Sardaunan Badarawa stressed the important role the traditional institutionsl play in sustainable security as driving force for socio-economic activities and tourism which he noted as potentials of the area.
He promised to work with all traditional heads in the constituency as partners in achieving set goals.
He added that other basic dividends of democracy that would make life worthwhile shall form the bedrock of his development plan for the local government.
