PDP Senatorial Candidate Urges Arabic Graduands To Pray For Peaceful Elections


People’s Democratic party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for Kaduna Central Zone in the 2019 general elections, Lawal Adamu Usman, popularly known as Mr LA has urged Graduands of Abdullahi Gwandu School of Arabic School in Kaduna to use the knowledge of Quranic exigencies they have been taught by their scholars to the benefit of the nation as 2019 general elections approach.
He challenged the Arabic Graduands to be good ambassadors of peace and progress of Nigeria as they go into the larger society where they would be expected to put into practice exemplary characters of the Holy Prophet Muhammad whose trustworthy behaviours have been applauded even by his Arab adversaries.
He made the call at a graduation ceremony marking the completion of Quranic and Arabic studies by the school in Kaduna.
“It is hightime our children eschewed the evil influences of scholars with questionable teaching of Islam. Scholars who turn our children of impressionable ages into potential terrorists who become a serious security threat to peaceful coexistence in the society.
“It has become imperative to have sound, recommendable and genuine Islamic teachings for our young and upcoming generation so that the future would be good and bright for all.
“It gladdens my heart seeing our young children like these reciting texts of the Holy Quran perfectly. It is therefore mandatory on us to support these kids here today today to develop their knowledge and utilize it for the benefit of the larger society”, Mr LA said.
Mr LA was represented at the occasion by his Senior Political Adviser, Hon Zubairu Shan’una, who donated the sum of #50,000 naira on behalf of his principal who away in Saudi Arabia for the Lesser Hajj.
Among the entourage of Mr LA who also graced the occasion are Hon Isa Musa Osama, Alhaji Ahmad Abdullahi and Said Adam.
