Kaduna Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), has rewarded its veteran for their contributions to the development of the engineering sector, as their virtues were extolled during a book launch.
The book which was written in honour of Engr. Ganiyu Adebayo Mustapha, Engr. Bisallah Khalid Mohammed and Engr. Michael Babalola Soho, showcased their early life, educational background, professional career was titled: ‘ Icons of Engineering’, and made up of three chapters.
Participants at the event described the Icons as set of individuals have who could stand the dark of the night and light of the day.
The book reviewer, who was also the former chairman of the branch, Engr. Abdul Audu stressed that the contributions of the said people to the stability of the Branch is commendable.
” Despite their old age, which I believe the youngest among them is 76 years, it will interest some of us to know they never missed the NSE events, and this is commendable”, Audu said.
The Chairman of the Branch, Engr. Abdulrasheed Babalola said the book is a must read not only for engineers but, to all that wanted to succeed in life, adding that they had both used their youthful ages to unleashed their potential for excellence.
While lauding the efforts of the icons, Babalola explained that their contributions must not go in vain.
” It has become necessary that we document their achievements because of their enormous contributions and honour them like we did today”, he said.
