Igbos have potentials if properly utilized that can turn Nigeria to an Export producing State like China that would be the envy of all particularly at this time of stiff competition among nations in goods production and exports.
The remark was made by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate of Kaduna Central Zone in the 2019 General Election, Mr Lawal Adamu Usman popularly known as Mr LA in a good will message at the 2018 Igbo Cultural Day Celebration in Kaduna State.
According to him, it is an Annual Event celebrated by Igbo’s to showcase their rich cultural heritage by coming together as one big family.
Ably represented by his Senior Political Adviser, Hon Zubairu Shan’una, called for ethnic and religious cohabitation among Nigerians to pursue a common goal of nation building so that a developed nation would be passed over to the incoming generations.
“The Igbos have a unique cultural heritage which had been jealously guarded by their ancestors and transmitted from generations to generations.
” This is the reason the Igbos are known Worldwide by their endowed crafts and unique gifts of turning virtually every raw material to consumer finished products comparable to the ones produced in the Western World.
” All they need is Governments’ supports at all levels to turn Nigeria into a full time manufacturing and Exporting Country. It is high time the young Aba boys who are performing wonders in the manufacturing industries were supported by our policymakers so that Nigeria can be another China or Japan in Africa. ” the Senatorial hopeful said.
He solicited the votes of Igbo residents in Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone and pledged to be just and fair to all irrespective of tribe or religion if elected in the forthcoming General Election.
