Again, Court Adjoins Case Between A.B.U, Jamilu Adamu To March 26

 

 

A Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna as again adjoined the case between Ahmodu Bello University, (ABU) Zaria, and Jamilu Auwalu Adamu to March 26, 2019.

The case no fhe/kd/c6/84/2017 was adjoined for adoption of applications and passing of judgement.

Presiding Judge, Saleh Musa Shuaibu of court 1 asked the counsel to the defendants to within 21 days submit a final written address to defend all applications.

The counsel to the plaintiff, Sule Shuaibu after a cross examination of all evidences put forward to the 2nd and 3rd defendant respectively was given 21 days to also file and submit a final written address after the receipt of all applications by the Honourable judge.

While presiding over the proceedings, the judge acknowledged the receipt of all applications, saying that all allegations must be read in the open.

During the cross examination, the 3rd defendant, Dr. Abubakar Yahaya confirmed the genuiness of the course registration form as part of evidences put forward by the counsel to the plaintiff.

The 3rd defendant also confirmed to the honourable court that he applied to withdraw from the supervisory committee, and which his application was granted by the institution following the petition written by the plaintiff and addressed to the Honorable Minister of education which he also copied president Muhammadu Buhari and other personalities.

The defendant agreed that as at December 2014, he was a lecturer one at the department, which according to him a lecturer is not qualified to be a supervisor to a Ph.D candidate based on the university regulations.

This formed parts of the plaintiff complaint letter earlier written to the ICPC, alleging that his supervisors were not competent to handle his project before he was withdrawn from the institution.
