ABG commences training of 100 Women on modern fish rearing, pond utilization

The Special Adviser to Speaker Yakubu Dogara of  the House of Representatives on  Special Duties, Hon. Usman Shehu ABG is to commence another set of training for 100 women on agricultural skill acquisition and  empowerment in collaboration with the Federal College Of Horticulture on Monday 18th March, 2019.

In the first face of the training, no fewer than less than one hundred Kaduna State women were trained on Food Processing and Preservation technique to make them self reliant and be useful to the society.

ABG who is always passionate about the downtrodden says: ” my passion, zeal and commitment towards my people at the grassroot were the driving factors that motivated me to organized the training program particularly for women”.

He stressed that the most vulnerable in the society  needed to be empowered.

However, the first hundred women who were trained got grinding machines and twenty thousand naira (#20,000.00) start-up capital to enable them start up a vocation of their own.

The second phase of the program was designed to train women in Modern Fish Rearing and pond utilization.

According to him, the program will hold in Arewa House from tomorrow 18th to 20th March 2019.

While speaking he says: “l intend to continue in this direction of dispensing services and providing dividends of democracy to my people whether I am in or out of government”.
